DAVID STEVENSON

David Stevenson is one of our four wise monkeys. When he's not writing the Adventurous Investor column for the Financial Times every week (his big theme are weird and wonderful investments featuring everything from North Korea to wind turbines on the Scots borders) or columns and main features for the Investors Chronicle, he's also managing his own moderately successful self-invested personal plan (featured in the Investors Chronicle).

STEPHEN BARBER

Stephen Barber is a wise monkey, Head of Research at Selftrade as well as being a fellow of the Global Policy Institute. He takes a long-term view to investment, buying quality and diversifying his portfolio. He's a fan of investment trusts and exchange traded funds as well as shares and takes account of the political and economic effects on markets. He runs his own SIPP but is still some way off retirement.

ROBBIE BURNS

Robbie Burns runs www.nakedtrader.co.uk where he blogs his trades - so far long and short trades show profits of more than £500,000. He turned his back on the rat race in 2001 when he discovered he could earn more money from trading than his job as a finance editor at Sky. He's a medium term investor as he likes to do a lot of relaxing. His book Naked Trader is a number one finance bestseller. He believes in simple trading and thinks charts and systems are all blokes' ways of proving they're not just gambling. Robbie is not Scottish, does not wear a kilt but he has given up wearing pants.

Described as a "vociferous supporter of investing and investment clubs," Mr. Dolman-Darrall has written and contributed to a number of publications.
